Remember – The 4 R’s of Safeguarding:

Recognise:

If something doesn’t feel right, trust your instincts. Speak to your CWO or the BJA Safeguarding Team.

Respond:

Support the needs of the person at risk and take their concerns seriously. Always talk to your CWO or the BJA Safeguarding Team.

Report:

If someone is in immediate danger, call 999. Report all safeguarding concerns to your CWO or the BJA Safeguarding Team as soon as possible.

Record:

Accurate records should be passed to the BJA Safeguarding Team, where they will be securely logged in the case management system.

‍For more safeguarding guidance, you can also contact the British Judo Association Safeguarding Team directly.

Your voice matters. Your safety matters. We are here to support you.
